Where do I go from here? (Open)

Dec 08, 2011 18:30

After the conversation with my father I am at such a loss that I know not what to do. I went to my rooms after and looked at the cabinet beside my bed. That folder was where it should be, where I keep it. I took it and put it under everything else. Olore, being the curious fellow he is, decided that since the cabinet was open he should investigate ( Read more... )

Kerai was on her way home from the music store when she saw Faramir ahead of her, looking a little distracted. This was nothing new for him, he often had his mind elsewhere, but as she got closer, she felt the stirring in his feelings, such as she'd never felt in him before, confusion, shock, and a tremulous...joy?

As she neared, if he didn't see her, she would put a hand on his arm.

"I'm not willing to test it, without my companion," she nodded at her faithful black and white shadow, who wagged his tail at being acknowledged, "but I feel more in control than ever I have." She didn't smile, but looked at him earnestly.

"And I wish the best for you, and your father, and for you both, together."

"Thank you. I wish... this is what I have always hoped for."

Kerai's companion isn't so strange, except that I know what the dog's job is. It makes much more sense than having a human accompany her everywhere.

"Should I let you get back to what you were doing?" I do feel better, more grounded.

"Perhaps," she cocks her head at him. "What is it that you were doing?"

"I wasn't doing much. Just walking and thinking, trying to clear my head enough to eat something." I shrug. "Which you have helped with, so I thank you for that. Not that it would hurt me to miss a meal or two, but it's not healthy in the long run."

And there is no reason here in the village.

"Would you be able to join me? No, would you and Chuck be able to join me?"

"I'd like that. Let me ask Chuck." She pulls out her messenger and types out a message.

Those devices are very convenient. This is long overdue, so I hope he can come.

"We can go anywhere you'd like, even if it's just the cafe or the hotel. I can only wonder what the restaurant that changes would turn into with the three of us."

"We've never been there, Chuck and I. Have you?" Her messenger beeps and she looks at it.

"He is coming."

"I've been there a number of times and it has always been different. One time it was a restaurant from the city of Chicago--there were people here from that city at the time." It was an odd place.

"It is long past due that I take the both of you to dinner. We can go there if you like, though sometimes it chooses odd restaurants."

Still not getting notifs. If you'd like the changing restaurant, I'll find something. Unless you give me an idea, I'll make it a surprise.
