The one with a merrier, homier Christmas.

Dec 27, 2010 02:45

Christmas 2010 beats the rest of my Christmases hands down. Maybe cos I actually did something this year. I spent it with family. The Homies, that is. Merci beaucoup, Charmaine for providing the awesome spread that Mark kept making nomming noises at. Roast beef, "What's that? Chicken?" - "Turkey!" She gives the look. Salmon, smoked and baked (or grilled). Mixed vegetables. Cranberry jam/sauce that went well with anything and everything. Total Joey & Jam moments there. Cedele cake that I would have believed to be from Royce was that good. And Alvin brought us 2 tubs of ice cream from Udders. What a sinful night. Not guilty though. So that was the food. Already high on the awesome scale, believe it or not the company was notches on top of that. In a cozy house with my favorite bunch of people, what more can I ask for besides the missing Genia & Q to be there as well. We didn't do anything crazy this time. We didn't play Pictionary/ taboo and get knocks on the door by the police. We watched Spiderman 3 and Jurassic Park with all of us scattered everywhere like a huge family'd be in those Christmas holiday movies. Somewhere along the way we caught the Text-Twist-like game bug and we were all sharing respective Iphones & Ipod touches playing the same game. Brainy games at 1 plus in the morning - our calling. I still wish we were all in the same place in the same school at the same level staying in the same hostel or sharing an apartment in a Friends like situation just so we can whine about school to actual faces, having nerdy intellectual conversations and making the wittiest jokes. I love them. They're the people I'd still wanna be in constant contact with when we're old and have families of our own. Then hopefully our kids would become the best of buds as well and they'd be Homies Jr. I have a very vivid imagination and I like that. "I can't fall asleep but I sure can dream." Ha I love that quote that I saw in a tumblr photo. Photos will get naturally added once they're uploaded. Till then. Bon nuit!

Added (Why do I keep saying edited when it's more like added. Jeez.) 10 minutes later:
The Christmas period whizzed by pretty quick. The new year begins this weekend and I feel like it's a heck of a rush. I have a lot of thinking to do because that's just the way I am. I need to be mentally prepared for the brand new 365 cycle before it goes BOO! in my face. Brother and gf are coming home on thursday. Zhang's home. Rugby/Touch reunion coming up. Can't wait! I'll say good night but I know I won't sleep till an hour or 2 later. There's so much thinking to do! I need to start now.
