i actually took a chance and went to the ateneo yesterday. got there just in time for the alumni mass which fr. nebres officiated.
UAAP season will be starting this week so it was a send-off mass for the athletes. i even saw norman black together with our basketball team. saw some other familiar faces but i decided not to socialize. i just felt happy getting the chance to hear mass even if i went there alone.
i used to attend the alumni masses with my best friend. sadly, he passed away last march and it was the first time i heard mass again at the gesu without him to join me. the experience was a bit emotional. tried to hold back tears. i know deep inside that he is now in better company.
took a tour of the college campus after the mass. it really felt like a 'homecoming' to me. will try to attend the alumni masses on a regular basis.
wala lang akong maisip isulat. i just usually check my LJ friends' entries and send comments from time to time. i don't have any interesting idea or significant thoughts to post.
3rd sunday of the month na ulit. will you be attending the alumni mass this sunday?
btw, have you heard about the Life Directions (LD) retreats? i'm interested to participate in the December batch kung meron.
hahaha! :) no, it's a retreat designed for 'young' professionals at various crossroads in their (our) lives. but AAs are absolutely welcome to join since they are definitely at certain critical paths in their lives.
i just read the last LJ message to me. i was not able to go online for quite some time. sorry i was not able to send you an sms when you asked me to. :(
hope your in a much better disposition right now. :) let me know if you still need someone to talk to.
