The light of Kingdom Hearts tended to wax and wane by no set schedule, and certainly it was never truly filtered by the rain. Tonight it was bright, ever so bright and clear. It made each droplet of water shine silver as it fell; gilded beauty in a world of destroyed brick and failing neon.

Demyx pauses, looking around for any sign of another person. Even the Superior.

Especially the Superior.

There was nothing and no one, the heartless world seemingly as empty as nature declared it should always have been. There were no hearts to draw the shadows, no lingering Nobodies since the keyblade master's rampage.

Nothing.

Absolutely nothing.
