[Posting order Chase, Thirteen, Foreman, Amber]Chase knew he was inevitably going to get a mixed reaction when he walked into the Diagnostics office after calling a differential. Compounding the issue was the fact he had Amber tow. When Cuddy told him the Diagnostics patient was apparently deteriorating and he had to step up to the plate with House ( Read more... )

Thirteen was curious, and a bit amused at the fact that Chase didn't know how to address her. Everyone on the team called her Thirteen, and it was just easier to go by that instead of correcting everyone. Plus, it was less personal.

Foreman had basically be staring, stunned, since Chase walked into the room with Amber. He wasn't particularly speechless... no, he definitely had things to say, but what the hell?! "What the hell?!" he said, horrified as he held his hand out in an almost accusing gesture. "Why did Cuddy put you in charge? You aren't even employed by Diagnostics anymore! You don't know the case. He stood up abruptly and moved towards the door. "I'm going to talk to Cuddy. This is ridiculous. Cameron would be a better choice than you. When have you ever bothered your ass to run a department?"

[ooc: Ugh, sorry! I totally missed this in the chaos with Pat's accident. Will be back on board now. Apologies again.]

Amber merely gave a slight smirk. "Do you always go running to mommy when your favourite play toy gets stolen from you in the school yard?" she asked, almost bored already with Foreman's power trip. "You've had your turn in the driver's seat, now let's see what Aussie blood can do."

Chase looked between them all and then merely gave Foreman a small wave. "Bye then," he said dryly and turned his attention back to the rest of the team. "Anyone think to ultrasound the kidneys to look for nephritis? Not that I'm trying to tell you how to do your job or anything. Oh wait, yes I am. I'm the boss." He threw Foreman a pointed look, almost challenging him to say something else on the matter ( ... )
