No, no. What happened is he started to go into a bout of depression that caused his hallucinations. He meets Hyukjae in a dream and things progress from there. The ending is open to interpretation but I assure you, Donghae is not dead.

I read it earlier commenting just now because I read on ipod ;;
SCREAMS ANA I ACTUALLY LOVE IT. When you said one of them had to be dead for that to happen I started to be afraid of how angsty it would turn out, but it's really fluffy and so good ;____; though I admit I was starting to get teareyed in the beginning ;;

He turned over on his side, half-expecting Hyukjae to appear next to him, only to be met with empty space and an unused pillow.
You have my heart with this sentence ;___;

And I thought Hyukjae had somehow find a way to 'kill' Donghae and that's why he was crying, had changed the picture and lit two candles, but I like the ending nevertheless :3
