I can find value in almost any genre of music.  Even if I don't like that particular genre (country, Southern Gospel, rap), I can usually fine some line of melody or harmony in a song that has some worth musically.  In fact, in the genres I don't like, it's usually the vocals that ruin it for me.  I find some country songs to have whiney, off-pitch

You shoulda bought the nature sounds CD. There's birds twittering and wind blowing through the leaves and water flowing over rocks. You know - the sort of stuff that doesn't exist anymore.
