Oh, wow. Wow. I love this so much. And I'm sorry I don't have anything more eloquent to say - but this is so beautifully in character, and parts of it (the dancing!) makes my heart ache in the best possible way.

Thank you! Dancing is one of my favorite things in this. I'm so glad you liked it. I'm very glad that you find it in character too. Thank you for a wonderful compliment and for taking time to leave a review. (Also, I'm a chatty type, and I don't mind rambling and talking about these two or anything related. )

Thank you! Actually, Alison refers to music that Clint is listening to; the musician Alison Krauss. I'll go read that bit over again, perhaps it's not clear from the way it's written that I meant music, not the baby. :)

So. I read this story this morning and I've had the page open all day typing out this comment. Even though this fic deals with pregnancy, there are no white picket fences here - fics like this are rare (too rare), so when this showed up I was instantly intrigued (your author's note is a wonderful lead in, by the way).

I don't read pregnancy or babyfic as a general rule, but the fics I love best are the ones that take characters, put them in situations that sound like a disaster, and then make it work. This does that. In fact I think it's some of the best characterisation I've seen in this fandom so far; you never going over the top, you just hit their personalities on exactly the right note (and that includes everyone, not just Natasha and Clint). Actually, I think Natasha's interactions with Tony and Bruce were some of my favourite parts - two sides of the same protective coin ( ... )

Oh my God, please don't stop! :D Comments like these aren't so common, no, I don't get comments like this one; thank you so much for taking time to put it together and write it!! :D ( ... )

I always, always have time for fics that make the impossible seem not just possible but plausible, and as I said before this is a perfect example of that. How an author goes about doing that is always fascinating, and I think you made great decisions as an author here. That agony over single sentences and words paid off.

I really liked that you didn't descend into parody with characterisation - even really brilliant fics can make Thor just a little too dense (he's an alien, not stupid) and Steve unable to move with the times. You've got just the right balance here. And I always find people who can pin Tony down impressive (mostly because I can't write him for the life of me). You really layered him, and I thought that your rendering of the boys (Steve, Thor, Bruce, Tony) as all very open but in different ways was great. Especially that Tony acts like an asshole so that people will talk about stuff they don't intend to. Perfect. As was the decision that Clint and Natasha keep the baby simply because they want to. It's a totally ( ... )

To be really, truly honest; I usually end up writing not so usual things in most of the fandoms I participate in. I was very nervous about posting this, fics about Clint and Natasha are about missions, about things they do as two very dangerous people. I felt I took that aspect and put it to the side to look at them as solely two human beings, but I didn't want to "forget" how they make their living. And, you know, I feared this fic wouldn't be everyone's cup of tea. (or anyone's for that matter). I expected a few "well - done" comments, but nothing like these comments that you shared with me. Don't take it against me, I'm basking in the glow of your words ( ... )

This was a great story. I think you succeeded where so few have at keeping these two in character while still having a baby. I think there is room for them to be softer, but still be true to the characters. You captured that perfectly. I loved how you sprinkled the other Avengers in as well and it was just heartwarming. I adored the Star Trek vs. Star Wars debate. It is the ultimate nerd debate. Great job!

Thank you! I'm so glad you think I managed to keep them in character through it all. Star Trek VS Star Wars scene was the most fun one to write, actually entire fic was fun, even though I struggled at few points to keep it realistic. I'm glad you think it worked! :)
