I enjoyed the seclusion of Harry's place. Draco having a "near death experience," made me smile. I know this was fanon, but I missed having a base of where the story took off as AU. A sentence or two up front would have helped or saying canon compliant through HBP. I didn't realize until Harry started thinking about old times that HPDH wasn't involved at all. I do love the whole concept of Harry chucking it and leaving everything behind, well, almost, everything but Draco. :)

Love, love, love, love, love this! Very nicely done! I love Harry escaping from everyone, I've often found myself wantign to do the exact thing, just not for that long. Oh, this was too sweet.
