aww, such a sweet fic. you captured the landscape so well--it was very vivid in my imagination. i find it completely believable that harry would need to escape from the wizarding world and be by himself for a while. also, yay for a semi-established relationship fic [there has been a severe dearth of those in this fest]. i liked how draco is the one person who can read harry like an open book, and that they both easily fall for one another even after years apart.

a few perhaps slightly nitpicky observations: i believe it's "the lake district," not just "lake district." also, i have to admit that "silver orbs" as description for draco's eyes took me right out of that scene--saying "grey eyes" is just fine for a description if you ask me. finally, it would have been nice to be told that this would be an AU to deathly hallows. for me as a reader, knowing that would have made it easier to get situated during the opening part of the story.

This was such a nice read. I love the hesitation from both of them, not wanting to rush things or ruin them. And I liked the gentle tone you set.

Near death experience? LOL. Sorry, Draco, but that's just... Psh. XD

But! Nice one, this story. I loved it, loved everything -- Harry keeping chickens, the not-speaking-French joke, the cloud-gazing and a whole lot more... and I particularly love the sense of quietness and solitude that I feel throughout the story.

I always like a story where they broke up and then got back together again, even if the break-up is just implied. Their process of getting back together here is so sweet. I'm glad to read the resolution between them in the end.

And this:
"You can be whatever you want to be."

That's perfect.

Good job. :)
