To my prompter, something about your prompt caught me and I was so excited to start when I realized, "Oh duh! They probably meant BRITISH history! Hah, so I had a crash course and while this is not at all like my usual style, I hope you like it anyway.
Several of the background images and poses were taken from stock images on DeviantArt from felixdeon and tigers-stock. I got most of the uniforms from Fighting Techniques of the Medieval World.
