That is beautiful. I love, I absolutely love the progression of the time, the different ages, eras and wars they fought, the scenarios of those battles, the loss and grieve, until they learned.

I love their costumes and the constant of the colours they represented, I loved the background you used, and the scrolls narrating the story.

And I love the ending, with their wands on the side, finally the fight over. Beautiful. :)

Ooh, caught this one as it came up (thank you lj email service). My prompt came first? Lucky me.

This is gorgeous! Sad, and touching, but finally a happy ending to end the fight. I'm glad my prompt inspired you. I love how you incorporated the lightning. The last panel of course is lovely, though I think otherwise my favourite is 1415. The text and background fit very well too.

I didn't really have a specific history in mind, but am proud I'm enough of a history buff to get almost all the conflicts, though I did have search a few dates. Or at least I thought I did. Um, let's see, I was thinking gladiators, Roman conquest of Briton, haven't quite worked out 1142, Agincourt, British Civil War?

Yay! I'm so glad you liked it! I don't usually pick prompts like this. My usual choices are much more adorable and chibi-like but something about your prompt really inspired me.

anyway, all your guess were spot on. Sorry about 1142, it's very possible I wrote down the wrong year. It's supposed to be The Anarchy time period, with this possibly being Oxford Castle but I was very quick in my British history learning so I apologize for any confusion.

I don't think 1142 was a mistake on your part, that seems to be a period of history I'm not too familiar with :-/ but nice job on the research and authenticity anyhow. Glad I inspired you :-)

Fantastic parchment style really adds to the sense of history, and the banners are boffo - especially the last one, which made me smile and admire. Fantastic scenarios, wonderful pictures every one!
