I love this film. It’s pretty much an extended XF episode but full of so much more. I don’t know why but the film had a heightened energy about it. I have seen it several times but in this context, after watching the first five seasons continuously, it was exciting. I think that you know or can sense that it’s going to be good. I love "fight the future" so much. For all the reasons you mentioned really, I have nothing new to add other then I totally agree. The hallway scene is sooo great. The fighting, and him going after her and like everything he says to her..sigh..and then the fact that they are so close to kissing. Just the fact that he moves to kiss her is a big move for their characters I think. Sure the scene could have gone like the outtake in your icon and my brain would have exploded but this scene is just perfect as it is also.

"requiem"..wow that episode blew me away. It is just so...I have no words. I just remember crying..a lot! The cabin scene just killed me. gah now I am really wanting to re-watch the show!!!

I've been loving all your episode recaps. And I LOVE YOUR ICON FTW! I have a similar one but that is just gorgeous. Damn the bees - can you imagine if that scene had ever happened in the movie? I'm still bummed tha during the whole show we never really got to see passionate Mulder & Scully, but I have fingers and toes crossed that it will happen in XF2.

You're watching so quickly - I'm still only on season 2 in my marathon at the moment, but I can't wait to get to FTF - Iknow the movie word for word I've watched it so many times, but think it will mean even more to me this time after watching the first five seasons in sequence for once :D

Oh I would love to take a week off right now and watch back to back XFiles all day long!! But at least it is the weekend, so I can go and watch it now. I'm in the middle of the Ascension/One Breath arc at the moment and Scully abduction and Mulder angsting is so heartbreaking...but in a good way!
