I'll be hitting the road tomorrow night and I doubt I will have much internet access on the way.
I will be emailing my cell number directly to the Texas folk for ease of planning as well as posting it in a flocked entry in case any of my friends want to meet up somewhere along the way.

Sounds great!

I'm with you on the whole "sleeping on the ground" thing. That's why I invested in a 2 1/2 inch thick tempurpedic mattress pad that just about fills the bottom of my tent. It also works pretty well folded in half across the back seat. Luckily, Amber and I are both short enough to make it feasible (if cozy) for us to sleep there if campsites are scarce.

I too would like to have more time to visit with you and really couldn't care less what state your house is in. In fact, if I arrive when there is still stuff to be done, I'd be happy to lend a hand.
I'll wait to tell you what time to expect me 'til I hear from Emma & Rita, but what time is the party actually scheduled for? Is it an afternoon affair or an evening event? That way I can schedule the time as definitely booked and work with their schedules around it.

It certainly looks like Amber will be cruising up the coast while we are sailing into the sunset. I will probably be flying out from SF or SJ to go meet them where ever they will be on the first.

She might be a little disappointed to miss the pirate party, but I think she will get over it.

And somehow? I think you guys can keep me entertained enough that I won't miss her much. *hee*
