To be honest, I never expected this to be anything more than a one-parter (I promised myself no more epics after the 235092349th unfinished one!)...but these ideas don't let you go after they've gotten you, do they?
Suddenly this thing is so much bigger than I thought it would be when I first started writing it... and really, I had expected it to be short, sweet and succinct. But now that the possibilities are starting to unfold, it's starting to cry out to be more than just an "Aral goes in with guns blazing and saves the day" thing. And Miles wants more screentime. But Miles always wants more screentime.
suddenly this thing is so much bigger than I thought it would be when I first started writing it They are Vorkosigans, if you get them involved in Barrayar it won't be on a small scale. And what we have seen of Miles so far..... Well, until I saw "Multipart, part 1/(expected)2" I envisioned something a bit smaller than bracketyjack's 'Novella of Manners'.
The best made plans of mice and men .. I was originally planning on not writing the part where they go back to barrayar, but I think I might be lynched. :)
Alright, I'm sorry, I still have to read this and I just don't have time right now, but see, I creep on you because I love your writing, and Lois McMaster Bujold is Awesome like nobody's business, so, to see the two come together... it just makes me spazz. Thank you for being even more awesome than I realized you were. I swear I'll come back and read this and leave you a REAL comment but right now I have to go to class.
