School check, tax refund, SURGERY...OH MY!!!

So on Saturday, I received a check from school. I was like, great, how little am I getting?......cuz I was not expecting to get too much back. I ended up with a check for $3,744! How sweet is that! Then I did my taxes............for federal I'll be getting $2,5--something, can't remember the exact amount and then for state it's $198. So guess what
