Various fandomy things, mostly femslash and vampires. Also, I hate being sick.

So, as it turns out, my summer cold is actually a cold and a great big sinus infection that crept up on me and stole all my energy. Joy. My caffeine intake has doubled (or so) and I'm trying to get everything done on little to no energy. Wow, that's fun ( Read more... )

I knew you'd be rageful over those deaths. Um...the ending might make you pretty rageful as we magically find a way to save two male characters. But they did bring Anna and Vicky back from the dead. We have to wait until next season to find out what that means.

I actually thought several female characters showed amazing growth last night, so I liked it from that standpoint.

I agree. I liked seeing the females step up to the plate.:)

Yeah, we all knew Damon was going to get saved from that werewolf bite. I haven't seen, but I'm assuming it was Alaric or Matt or Tyler? Or, IDK. BOYS. Why do they always have to be the ones saved?

But they did bring Anna and Vicky back from the dead.

OH MY GOD I LOVE THEM. I'm...tentatively hopeful.

Yeah...the finale mostly made me angry. There was some stuff about screwing with Stefan's character so it'd be easier for Elena/Damon to happen next season. There was constant RAGE in regards to Damon and Elena's forgiveness.

There was also this bit where Bonnie found a spell to bring someone back from the dead that made me rageful because WHERE WAS THAT SPELL LAST WEEK?! Ya know, when it could've SAVED JENNA AND JULES AND ELENA without all the drama?! Apparently, the spell only exisisted when a male character needed saving (even if he is one of the few I actually like.)

BUT...

There was some great stuff with Liz & Caroline.
And Jeremy can now aparently see (un)dead people so we got a glimpse of Anna & Vicki and I guess there's potential to see anyone who's died (JENNA!!!!!)
So that was cool but didn't really make up for all the awfulness.

I'm very annoyed that the spell turned up a week too late to save Jenna. Um, Bonnie apparently didn't care enough to save anyone else? And I love Bonnie, I'm not slamming her, just the writers.

It was just ridiculous. Like...Bonnie AND Jeremy had been searching through those grimoires for a while and they just happened to miss a spell that could bring someone back from the dead?! Sorry but no. The writers should've come up with some other miracle way to save Jeremy. Or, ya know, not killed THREE women (+ John) in the previous episode.

Oh, Virtuality. Bleh. I didn't watch it, having heard about the rape, which made me auto-rage. Also, it was right after BSG, and I had Issues with Ron at that point still.

omgyay, anonpost. *makes note to read it later, after doing chores*

Yeah, he comes up with great ideas, but his followthrough, especially with women, is abysmal.

I hope you feel better soon.

I am so looking forward to the Dark Shadows movie. I'm only really familiar with the 1991 remake (it's my favourite vampire series ever and I love Ben Cross's Barnabas but I'm tentatively excited to see Johnny Depp's). So many people I love are in that series. I also adore the character of Victoria Winters and I hope there will be as much development as a movie allows for her. I'm also biased because my last name is the same as Barnabas's.

I love femslash(year)! It's one of my favourite challenges. It's one of my "sign up no matter how terrible life is" challenges. Not that life is terrible, it's just that important to me.

Damon Salvatore you are not fit to lick the boots of Barnabas Collins (and I do not mean that in a slashy way thank you very much).

Thank you! I'm very excited about the Dark Shadows movie. I only ever watched the 1991 series extensively, but I adored the characters in it. I'm looking forward to seeing a new take on it, and hopefully seeing the women get more developed roles than "love interest" or "scorned woman."
