30 Days of Writing Meme - Day 28 & 29 & 30
Ok, so looking at these last few questions, and being pretty sure I missed a couple other days without realizing it, I'm just gonna throw these out together, ok?
... I really need another daily meme or something where I can just babble about writing. This was fun, and totally makes up for the fact that I'm entirely uninteresting right now...
28. Have you ever written a character with physical or mental disabilities? Describe them, and if there's nothing major to speak of, tell us a few smaller ones.
Do Parker and River count? If not, no. I've written people who are neurotic, or (...I think) have things like phobias. But I've never written someone with what would be termed a disability. Technically, to write Parker in character, you have to at least capture the essence of expression of Aspbergers... And River actually had her head fucked with, physically, so yeah. Both instances are a matter of matching how they act on screen... not just the crazy bits but the right kinds of crazy bits balanced with the right moments of awkwardness and confusion and insight....
29. How often do you think about writing? Ever come across something IRL that reminds you of your story/characters?
All the time. Always. I've dreamed about writing before, and when I'm in dreams, if it's anything remotely resembling real life, I'm usually an author. Everything I see and hear reminds me of something... maybe not so much inversely, but inspirationally. Hell. Walking through an Old Navy inspired me to a few goth!E/L/M tidbits. It's awesome... and also drives me insane.
But y'know? I wouldn't have it any other way.
30. Final question! Tag someone! And tell us what you like about that person as a writer and/or about one of his/her characters!
