Not one easily fazed by a simple change in decor, Thor greets the Island's latest trick with typical aplomb, though he finds the new lodgings a touch too small for his taste. "Do you truly think any could sleep through the racket you were making?" Loki quipped from where he leaned against the doorframe, yawning and stretching with the air of a disgruntled cat. The shift had not caught him completely by surprise, he had heard about the winter changes from various sources already, but it had made him curious. By showing itself capable of managing a spectacle of that size, the place's magic had gone up in Loki's estimation and only made his drive to understand it all the more intense.

"You sounded like a troll trying to sneak through a lady's chambers," he continued with a tiny, almost malicious smile. The clothing that Loki had found suited his lean frame far better than Thor's and he moved about the set of rooms as comfortably as he had in Asgard. It was an advantage over his brother, no matter how slight, and was not about to let him forget it just yet. "And you look as out of place as one too, brother."

"First you think I've acclimatized too quickly and now you accuse me of sticking out," says Thor, sounding annoyed as he closes one of the cupboard doors upon not finding what he was looking for. With a sigh, he rests his weight against the counter, and gives Loki a wry expression.

"Is there no pleasing you, brother?"

"Now you know I can't answer that truly," he said, smile still intact, but now seeming more self-deprecating than anything else. "What would all my mischief be in aid of were I as easily pleased as you, Thor?" Loki shook his head, moving from the doorframe momentarily to reach into the tiny kitchen for a slice of bread. He was not truly hungry, even as a mortal Loki ate little, but it gave him something to occupy his hands with, however briefly.

"No. Give me discontent over complacency any day, brother."

"I'm not asking for complacency," Thor replies, rolling his eyes as he, too, decides the bread will have to suffice for now, and grabs a few slices to call his own. (Perhaps there's some kind of spread in these drawers.) Loki would twist his words to suit his own means, but that does not mean that Thor will abide by the tendency, particularly one so unnecessary for the subject at hand.

"Merely that you not be so dreary all the time. Where's your sense of adventure?"
