Video 004

[When the Dreamberry is switched on, all it shows is an arm for a second before it's propped up against something on a table - most likely to be paint cans - as Kara's back comes into view, clad only in a man's sized white shirt as she starts painting on one of the walls although it's not exactly clear what she's painting.]

Just for the sake of my ( Read more... )

I think most people are from there.

What's with all the questions?

That's what I want to find out; if I'm in the minority.

It's called curiosity.

Why do you even care? If you don't know them it doesn't really matter or anything.

I care because I want to know more about the people here, because I want to know about Earth seeing as the people I know and I found Earth and it was a nuked out mess.

Is it really that different from everybody? I'm from there too, and I suppose it does differentiate a little between people... Though I never had the opportunity to hear how much it does.

[there's a beat before Maka tilts her own device by a bit, as if it would help her get a better angle of what's being painted]

I'm not from Earth - my [a beat while she tries to figure out what to actually call everyone collectively] people I guess, were looking for it.

We found an uninhabited wasteland of a planet.

[Kara takes a few steps closer then to shift the Dreamberry to one side for the moment as she comes over to grab a different pot of paint and the new angle shows the rough outline of a star with the groundwork for something else to be added.]

that should have been 'for' instead of 'from' /sigh ._. resonancy September 7 2010, 22:52:12 UTC
[Maka is far from being artistically inclined, so while she does see what's going on with the painting so far, she doesn't really get it. she can make out the star, but everything else... well, it's lost on her.]

Oh! So... You've traveled through space a lot?

I couldn't count the miles seeing as half the time we've had no idea where we're going but yeah, the Colonies are a long way behind us and before that, I was still in the Fleet so I did a lot of flying.

I'm from earth. From what I hear, mine's pretty much like everyone else's, except for the ghost problem.

So why do you ask? I mean, is space travel, you know, possible in your world?

Ghost problem?

Space travel is pretty gods damned common; I'm part of the Colonial Fleet and I fly a space craft that's a fighter craft. But really, space travel is just a given for us and it has been for a damn long time.

Yeah. Our town was sort of a magnet for ghost attacks.

Uh, really? ... Wow. I don't know if you've heard this before, but that sounds really cool.

Ghosts are real where you're from?

I think I've probably heard cool but it's always nice to here. A girl likes compliments every so often.

I'm from Earth. Experiance...? I.. don't know what exactly you mean but. I just got here from World War I. It's a real pain in the butt...

Space travel? Yeah, I know about it. It's pretty common for people to go into space for research. NASA

I wanted to know what life was like, what Earth was like or I guess, is like for you. I mean, World War I means nothing to me.

NASA? What does that stand for?

It's... normal, I guess. WWI is a thorn in my side. NASA is in charge of going into space for research. It's National Aeronautics and Space Administration.

So it's not for inter-planetary journeys or for military use? Just research?
