[When the Dreamberry is switched on, all it shows is an arm for a second before it's propped up against something on a table - most likely to be paint cans - as Kara's back comes into view, clad only in a man's sized white shirt as she starts painting on one of the walls although it's not exactly clear what she's painting.]

I'm from earth. From what I hear, mine's pretty much like everyone else's, except for the ghost problem.

So why do you ask? I mean, is space travel, you know, possible in your world?

Ghost problem?

Space travel is pretty gods damned common; I'm part of the Colonial Fleet and I fly a space craft that's a fighter craft. But really, space travel is just a given for us and it has been for a damn long time.

Yeah. Our town was sort of a magnet for ghost attacks.

Uh, really? ... Wow. I don't know if you've heard this before, but that sounds really cool.

Ghosts are real where you're from?

I think I've probably heard cool but it's always nice to here. A girl likes compliments every so often.

Oh, they're very real. Scientifically proven, even. *And since Danny's not entirely sure which way her reaction is heading--derision or sincere interest--he braces himself mentally. With all the practice he's had, laughter should roll right off.*

Cool. I mean--I guess? Uh--what kind of ships do you guys have?

Frak, I would love to see Baltar's reaction to that but he might have that breakdown he's been teetering close to.

[Although that in itself would be hilarious and deserved.]

Colonial Fleet has Vipers, Raptors and Battlestars. Civilian vessels are all sorts; passenger liners, shuttles, mining ships, prison ship, freighters, transport vessels, ships for refineries and for processing whatever food we have or for sewage. We used to have a luxury liner but that was destroyed by a nuke.

Uh... Baltar?

*Silently mouths the word 'nuke' to himself, before mentally shaking himself, moving on.* Uh--what kind of things do you guys use for exploration? Would that be civilian or military?

He was a scientist in the Colonial Fleet for a while but then he showed his true colours as a traitor.

[And if Baltar shows up here, she has absolutely no problem with shooting him.]

Civilian and military now. We're all one big Fleet but most of the surveys are carried out by the Raptor pilots because they've got two people manning them at all times; pilot and ECO so they're the ones to go out and scan for resources that we might need or lifesigns or anything else worthy of note.

*Danny's not entirely sure what to say to that, so he focuses on the much more interesting subject here.*

You guys can do that kind of thing with just two people on a ship? Dude, that's awesome. In my world, we're still sending rockets with teams on them to the moon, and stuff.

Well we send out survey teams so it's maybe half a dozen or more Raptors and they report their findings back to Galactica.

It's just strange, how all this is day to day life for me and for everyone else it's this groundbreaking thing.
