Video 004

[When the Dreamberry is switched on, all it shows is an arm for a second before it's propped up against something on a table - most likely to be paint cans - as Kara's back comes into view, clad only in a man's sized white shirt as she starts painting on one of the walls although it's not exactly clear what she's painting.]

[She's wearing a man's shirt Malik, acceptable painting attire. And she's just going to have a little smirk to herself before she's turning and looking over her shoulder to the screen.]

Hey Malik.

[There's a moment of her turning back to critically assess what she's been working on before she turns, blowing her hair out of her eyes. She's actually a little bit surprised Malik can even look at the screen and at her but then again, he did check out her ass at the start of that driving lesson.]

You know any knowledge is useful. I'd have thought someone like you would know that.

[It's all teasing. And she grins just a little more to let him know that.]

War's got it's upsides though.

[Well, that's what she told herself once a while back.]

Guess it depends on why there's a war in the first place though...

What if you're fighting for the survival of your people?

I happen to be from Earth, though in my experience, it is somewhat different than a majority of those here. There are times of war and times of peace, and it is indeed habitable in most places.

If I may ask, what did you wish to know about the cities, countries, and continents?

I'm thinking all the Earths seem to be different. I know the one I saw wasn't what everyone else seems to be talking about.

Just what they're like. I should probably go to the library but I wouldn't even know where to start; I come from somewhere that has a system of planets, each of the planets being different to the others.

It is highly likely they are different. Especially given that people here have powers that do not exist, save for in fiction in my world.

I can only describe my own cities, really, as I am none too familiar with those of other countries. Cities, in my experience, are large, bustling, and interesting places to be, overall. In recent times, the standard of living and sanitation in cities has increased exponentially. As for continents and countries, I can only describe Europe and myself, if you are still curious.

Wait, powers? Frak, don't even get started with that crap, sounds like stuff out of books and movies.

Yeah, we had cities and from what I've heard so far, the cities all sound roughly the same, just with different public transport. What do you mean about yourself when you say Europe though?

Where I'm from, Earth exists, but humanity left it thousands of years ago. I suppose that speaks for itself regarding space travel as well.

[Sounds a little like the exodus from Kobol to her.]

Can I ask why humanity left?

Earth, the 'Planet of Tears'... had become inhabitable. They needed to find a new homeland to live on.

Inhabitable how?

[It's a boring day down at the police department. With no papers to file and no Javert in sight, Charlie doesn't think he'll get into too much trouble for browsing the network.

His beaming grin is as sincere as possible. He's in a damn good mood today.]

Yeah, I'm from Earth. The year 2004 actually. It was fairly peaceful, I suppose. A few big wars and such, but at least it wasn't an overrun zombie apocalypse, right?

[She turns around - nice pain streak across the bridge of her nose by this point - and smiles back.]

So it's completely habitable, cities and towns, public transport, people living normal boring lives?

[A pause and she snorts, amused.]

At least zombies don't resurrect and have access to nukes.

[Nice paint there. The Brit chuckles lightheartedly.]

Yes, definitely all habitable. Well, not exactly the place I was last, but the rest of the world should have been dandy. Hopefully.

[He touches his nose.] You got a little something there.

So what was wrong with the last place?

[But it's reassuring to know that some Earths - frak, how many of the things are there? - are still out there with life on them.]

What?

[She touches her face with a clean part of her shirt sleeve and yep, paint.]

Hazards of the hobby.
