You're caught in the wire (For Shizuo)

May 29, 2011 14:15

[Schuldig has been at ease with the idea of casual murder for years, of course. Oh, he's done it himself, on occasion, though it's so much more elegant to go through other people - goading them to it, enticing them into it, subtly guiding them into doing exactly what Schwarz wants done. It has the added benefit of giving him the time to be lazy, ( Read more... )

[ The minute Shizuo is done reading the letter from that something called Mayfield Census Bureau, he scrunches the freaking paper in his fist and throws it out of a window like it's a freaking canonball.

Or, that is what he was aiming for but instead of the result he unconsciously desired, the paper ball simply hits the window before pathetically dropping on the floor and rolling under the nearest table. Having witnessed just what kind of items, things, people he has been able to sent flying through even walls in the past, even his brain manages to count what's 1+1 = his powers are gone.

Or more like, it has been reduced to the level of a normal human being apparently, something he has desired to have always. Which is exactly why this is so puzzling to him; the letter had after all mentioned that there would be a penalty for failure in killing his target, which to him would apparently be losing the control of his strenght. Heck, now that he though of it, the penalty for him would be that he has to kill someone, as that mostly what ( ... )

[Oh, ducking him won't be that easy. Schuldig hears the sudden movement and follows the sound rapidly to the window, and then he sees Shizuo. He knows enough from inquiring of the drones that Shizuo is the father of this house, and thus of adult age - and there's only one adult male to a house. That means that the man bolting from him is probably his target.

And if he isn't...well, who cares? He's got plenty of bullets.

Schuldig vaults out of the window after him, smirking already. He takes a shot at Shizuo's back before he actually starts running, however - he's already trying to hit a moving target, no reason to ruin his accuracy further by trying to shoot on the fly himself.]

[ In an ideal situation, Shizuo had hoped his attacker would've carried a knife instead of a gun, since if he has learnt one thing about guns and bullets, it's that you can best avoid them by moving. Though yes, the same goes for knifes, but when speaking of guns it meant moving hell of a lot. Though usually he could've just accepted the bullets without much fear of dying at the first bullet, but even he knows they are a pain in the ass, so just happily getting shot would be stupid and it wasn't a good situation anyway to test his limits. Which is why he doesn't spend much time with looking around and forming an escape/battle plan in his head when there could already be someone behind his back, aiming a gun to his head. And no, he doesn't turn around to make sure of this and at the same time say hello to Schuldig's ugly mug, seconds were rather crucial for him. The best and quickest solution for this piece of a puzzle ( ... )

[Schuldig's wild grin is unmistakably predatory as he takes off after Shizuo without hesitation. Clearly his target is a nimble one...but while Schuldig doesn't know parkour, he's certainly skilled enough at getting around himself. He'd jumped sure-footed from rooftop to rooftop all the time in Tokyo, after all...and those buildings were dozens of stories high. A town like Mayfield, where it was rare for any building to be taller than two stories? Especially in the residential areas?

Oh, he's not worried about keeping up.

He starts shooting again, rather less accurately but making up for this with far more bullets. Between that and the wild laughter, it's fairly obvious he doesn't care if they hit, or who - right now, he's having fun.]
