They are almost at Smallville when she talks after being silent for a long moment, she couldn't seem to stop replaying the short conversation with Jimmy in her head, "I hope we don't upset Conner by coming over and then leaving him here when we go home."

She knows he probably doesn't know what is going on, but she needs to make sure he knows she's not going anywhere like her mother did.
A moment later, she's opening the door to the kitchen and stepping inside, raising her eyebrows, "Conner?" She calls, not liking the sudden silence, unless he was napping, there is no way the house would be this quiet with a child in it.
