So I was reading the archives of this comm and noticed quite a few members posting their favourite hated characters. Here are mine. The main fandoms are Naruto, Bleach and Sailor Moon (I love the Harry Potter books, but never got involved in fandom because I was too scared).

( Hated characters I like - note to Naruto fans that there are MAJOR spoilers )

sailor moon, women simply can't win, bleach, blaaaargh, sexist bullshit, rants, sakura, naruto, character a vs. character b, fat bashing, crying "not badass = useless", crying "not bishie enough", bashed characters

As for Orihime and RukiIchi (because Rukia totally tops), I simply repeat the Fandom Mantra: Threesomes solve everything. Everything.

Yes. Yes you do.
The man thing is cos apparently, Sakura is a bloke cos she's stroppy, has superhuman strength, is not well endowed in the tit department, looks like a man in the manga, has a bit of a temper, and because in one omake Naruto made some crack about her being a man. Lolwut. Because the omakes are totally canon. And so what if she has masculine characteristics? It doesn't make her a bad person.

Found you again! I posted a rant for Sakura here too, quite a while ago. xD Seeing as to how you know my opinions already, I'll won't bore you with it again and tell you that this was amazing instead.

We whiteknights for Sakura have to stick together.

That aside, I agree so fucking hard with the Chouji and Ino ones too. I adore Chouji and to see him being picked on over something like his weight annoys the shit out of me. Why does Team 10 get so much shit over complete bullshit? They're my OT3. :[

Y halo thar. Team 10 are my favourite Konoha team (not my favourite overall team, that would be the Sand Sibs) and they all rock. I have unbashes lined up for Shikamaru and Chouji. I don't know if you're on Narutofan or not, but one militant Hidan fan keeps bashing Shikamaru and it drives me nuts because everything she says about him is UTTER BILGE. And the Chouji hate on there is depressing, albeit not as much as the Sakura hate. Girl can't even say anything without someone making a thread going OMG SAKURA SAID WURDS.

The 'Neptune = Sue' thing comes from a really old post I found in this comm. I don't know if this is allowed, but I would like to debunk that post, because there were so many things wrong with it. The person who wrote it deleted their journal, so I don't know if it will get back to them. If that's not kosher, mods, that's fine.

Although there is the fact that in the ShikaTema(shudders) fandom, that Ino is out to steal Shikamaru because she realizes her feelings...I think you the idea.

ShikaTema fangirl here, sorry. I like Ino though, and I get tired of my fellow ShikaTema fans calling her a slut. She's not. She's just very flirty and she has a nice body and wants to show it off. Why shouldn't she? I did dislike her at first but she grew on me, likewise Hinata. I'm a big Team 10 fan and Ino being on that team makes her awesome by default, harhar.
At some point, I will do a pro-Shikamaru post in here re the Hidan fight. I do think Kakashi was hypocritical to bitch at Sasuke for wanting revenge while encouraging Shikamaru, BUT it's a bit more complicated than that.
I think I've seen Mercury called a Sue somewhere cos she has a special episode or something, and she's popular in Japan (well, she IS very academic). As for Neptune, there was a post about her on here which called her a Sue and which was a big steaming load of arse. I need to find it cos it's way old.

Nearly every other fanfic I have read regarding rookie nine, etc. Has Ino being called a 'whore' or a 'slut' or she can't keep a relationship.;-_-;.

She's a great character and as for the ShikaTema thing...I like Shikamaru and Temari is one of my other favorite females from the series. But, I'll probably have to just warm up to it...I did with Sai/Ino._>.

Shippuden has been a bit disappointing as of late.
Then again, maybe it's because I am primarily an Akatsukitard.XD.

I had no idea that Mercury was popular anywhere. I've only ever seen Jupiter and Moon take the popular spots with the Outer Scouts. I'm glad she gets love too.:3.
And there is nothing about Neptune that is even sue like.

You know, I only just saw this and had to go "Who is this person? They do recaps?" But then I saw your icon and figured out who you were.

Let me say first off that I LOVE YOUR RECAPS because you don't push your ship with them (I had no idea what you shipped) and you don't character bash. The person doing them for the month before you called Orihime fat in her first one and basically made each episode like an IchiRuki high romance fic. It turned me off not only reading recaps, but of actually watching the filler arc in general. The only reason I'm even considering watching it now is because of your awesome recaps and my boyfriend downloading all of it so we can watch the tv series together. (Also, I kind of giggle every time you call Ichigo a ginger, so)

I. Actually kind of want to hug you now for being an IchiRuki shipper that likes Orihime and doesn't bash her with thinly-veiled whining about her 'flaws'.

No, I love Orihime. She's adorable. At first she got on my tits, but I warmed to her in a big way because she is actually quite badass, she's kind, she managed to stand up to Ulquiorra, and she's a total nutter. She reminds me a bit of Osaka (they're voiced by the same woman, so no wonder). Funnily enough, my fave Vizard next to Shinji is Hachigen, because he's a male Orihime, but without the kookiness. I prefer IchiRuki to IchiHime, but it's not like Naruto where I vastly prefer one main character het pairing over another - I'd be happy for them to end up together, particularly if Rukia ends up with poor old Renji (who really deserves some happiness). Plus Rukia and Orihime LIKE each other. Fanbrats miss this.
And yes, I are recapper for capslock_bleach. I was worried I'd get bollocked for bashing Byakuya in my recaps. I do take the piss out of him a lot as I admit that he is one character I absolutely can't stand, but to be fair, I make fun of EVERYONE. Kenpachi and Renji are my favourite characters, and I'm always taking the piss out of them. ( ... )

I thought before I read the series that I wouldn't like her, but I remember making it through volume one and turning to my roommate (who got me into the series) and going "Why do people hate her? She's amazing!" It wasn't until I really starting seeing the bashing in fandom that my brain absolutely broke. Some of these people go to ridiculous lengths over her, and for what? It doesn't validate any ship to bash a completely random third party.

And god yes, agreed on Hachi. He's adorable, even moreso because he's this big, portly fatherly figure. I don't think the Vizards get enough love from fandom in general, which is a tragedy, because they're all great characters. It made me so sad to see people cheering when Hiyori got cut in half and Mashiro got beaten to a pulp ( ... )
