Newbie. Characters I Like/Characters I Can't Help But Dislike

I'm new to this community and I hate a lot of character bashing. I don't mind someone disliking a character, but when they take it to a level where it is immature, wrong or just stupid, I have something to say about it.

Here's a list of bashed characters I like:

I will never, ever understand Tohru hate, it just won't compute in my head. Especially after reading the manga, it is just gah. Tohru hate does not make me happy.

I never got hating on Relena for the pink limo, I mean I understand for older girls that they go through that aversion to pink sort of thing, but it is not like the pink is ominous.

Relena's growth through the whole series is the most obvious out of everybody elses, and it works. Besides, the girl is a kick ass orator and the fangirls should thanking her for insuring that Heero did not in fact break his open in EW, because lord knows the last thing that boy needed was another blow to the head.

And of COURSE Kagome's voice is better in the Japanese version (Not that I hate Moneca Stori)! She's voiced by Yukino Satsuki! YUKINO SATSUKI, people! Have you HEARD her as Shmion in Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni?

Sakura was annoying at the very beginning. Especially when she kept chasing after Sasuke, and consequently putting Naruto in a pretty tough spot [because, lets face it, she couldn't do anything by herself.] But that was back then, and while I can understand how some people might dislike her back then, it's completely different with Shippuden. She's evolved, and I like her a lot better.

Relena evolves too. I honestly don't understand why people would hate her so much. She's an incredibly strong person, and the main characters of the anime - Treize, Heero, Zechs - support her completely [despite the fact that Heero wants to shoot her. But who doesn't Heero want to shoot?]

Winry... didn't grab me. I don't dislike her, but I don't really like her either...

Er, Sakura began her development into that phase character-wise before Shippuden, back when she cut her hair. It's not that Shippuden immediately gave her a makeover. -_-

I never hated Relena, just laughed at her interesting antics to get the guy. XD
I liked Sakura from the get go. She had potential. I was bummed the main creator never paused to explore that in the first series but Shippuden is making me oh so happy.

Its usually is a turn off when people love a character too much just like when they hate it too much.

To be fair, the creator never explored any powerful combat potential for any female character except for Tsunade (and Temari in the last arc) back in Part 1, he's doing better with everyone in Shippuden now.

You wrote this ages ago, but you should really read some of the FMA manga; i couldn't stand Winry in the anime, but her manga counterpart is awesome. Not that it stops the fandom hate toward her for -OMG!- being female and close to Ed, but...thought you should know ^^
