Hi! I decided to join this community after reading a lot of people's opinions on here, & I simply love this. ^^ I've always happened to adore the most hated characters of anime who are bashed because they are cute, sweet, ditzy, want to protect their friends or is the main love interest of the story. I just think it's really.. immature to hate

I just started reading FY and I can't see why she would get bashed. She's a lot like Usagi from Sailor Moon...

I agree about the Takiko vs. Miaka comparisons. There really isn't much to compare. Both are young Japanese women who are the product of very different times in Japanese history. I currently live in Japan and teach junior high school students and this has helped me appreciate Miaka and Yui even more because I can see Miaka and Yui in some of my students. Yuu Watase has also matured as an artist...and we can see that in her art and the darker storyline.

Just needed to add my two cents to the FY pile. ^_^v
