The old one was "You don't know what it's been like meeting someone like you". It's a line from Stereophonics' Superman, off their "Language. Violence. Sex. Other?" CD which I personally think is absolutely fantastic. I know it's not cool to like Stereophonics because the critics love tearing them apart, but fuck the critics. Any band that can come

"Don't Say A Word" is simply amazing! :D
And it's nice to finally know someone who disects and talks about lyrics and their importance like I do. It's kind of a guilty pleasure I have. Even if the lyric doesn't have some "deeper" meaning, I will still try and find one.
That's what I figure music is for. Making you think because if you don't listen to the lyrics, is there really a point to listening at all?

Yeah, I was really into lyrics at one point too, years ago. That kind of waned after a while as I started listening to random bands, some of whom have pretty bad lyrics. Stereophonics, for instance - I love them, but some of their lyrics are really crap, like Pedalpusher. But Dakota is awesome both lyrically and melodically (is this a word?) though. But anyway, I don't think I'd be this obsessed with David if he didn't write good lyrics. For the first time in a long while I actually want to know what a singer is singing, and I haven't bothered about this in quite a while!

And you're also a Veronica Mars fan(!!!)--I'm so peeved they cancelled the show--along with being DC's fan! That makes you quite awesome in my book.

I WAS DEVASTATED WHEN VM WAS CANCELLED!!! I was OBSESSED with that show, the same way I'm obsessed with David (hmm, I think I'm MORE obsessed with David if truth be told). I've watched Season 1 about 9 times already and each time in chronological order. I'm insane!
We're both quite awesome then. :)
