When I jokingly suggested that Roger made the French Open his next title after Madrid in this entry, I had no idea that it would actually happen. I'd joke about him winning in Roland Garros, thinking it was a near-impossibility, if not an outright impossibility; he'd tried four times, and all four times he failed. Roger won his first title of the season, and first title since October 2008, and first Masters series since 2007, on 17 May, 2009, defeating Rafael Nadal 6-4, 6-4 at the Madrid Open. A momentous victory. Made me very happy. Sometimes I still cannot believe it happened.

You know, to be perfectly honest, I find it rather amusing, albeit in a sad kind of way, how the people that post "chapters" of their "novels" on writing communities on Livejournal (such as writers_guild) are usually people that can't write a decent, grammatically-correct sentence, let alone paragraph, to save their lives.
