Katie Couric was the guest speaker at OU's commencement ceremonies last night. She walked by me- at about only 10 feet away. Her speech was really good. I unfortunately was not fast enough with my camera to take a good picture- I did get a great shot of her back however. :-/

Jean Rife is amazing. She was here this weekend for OU Horn Day and to give a recital. I just got back from the recital and let me tell you- wow. Jean's subtlety and artistic interpretation is world class. She has an elegance to her playing that I would parallel to Nancy Kerrigan's graceful ice skating.
