[The aim, apparently, is to carve crude pictures into a piece of squash. If Tieria thought these traditions couldn't possibly get any stranger and more pointless than the costumes, he'd been sorely mistaken.
Even still, the cultural significance makes it a part of being human, and it harms nothing (pumpkins being in as large a supply as they are), leaving Tieria nothing if not determined to understand the experience for what it is. He trudges up the hill at a steady rate, pace picking up considerably at the sound of his name, a slight frown plain to see on his face when he closes enough distance between them to hear Lockon's suggestion. That he thought to keep his voice low isn't lost on him, though, which he acknowledges by inclining his head just so.]
With the tools at our disposal, I don't believe a larger one will make the designs at all accurate.

[Setsuna's brows furrow slightly at Lockon's suggestion, and for a moment he actually does consider the degree of difficulty and technicality when carving a Gundam from a pumpkin. He doesn't dwell on it for long, however, as Tieria speaks soon enough, so he simply puts his trust in his comrade's judgment and remains silent as he brings up the rear.
He isn't certain what triggers it, but there's a sudden transition of scenery as soon as he sets foot on the pumpkin patch grounds. And even if the sudden change has still to register in his mind, a sense of familiarity quickly engulfs him-perhaps it is because of the atmosphere, or the warm gust that smells of sand and creosote.]

[Tieria's bemused reaction to the explanation of pumpkin-carving only served to encourage Lockon more. And now, the thought of Tieria actually trying to carve a Gundam into a pumpkin, with painstaking attention to accuracy, is just too entertaining; Lockon laughs out loud at the thought.]
It's the spirit that counts. Not how accurate your designs are. As for me, I'll do my best to make a Haro pumpkin. Even if confuses Haro.
[He hesitates a little as he sees Tieria trying to get that one step ahead of him--then allows it. It's a small concession to make, after all, and he's pretty sure that he can quickly get ahead of him if he has to. If fighting breaks out, Lockon knows, he will have to get ahead of Tieria. He can't trust his aim enough anymore to try shooting with his teammates in front of him.
But when they do pass through the trees and into the area that was supposed to have bigger pumpkins, he freezes momentarily, and then Tieria is too far ahead of him for Lockon to easily overtake him.]Tieria, something's gone wrong. Let's

[Of course, Tieria barely has the chance to process the real meaning behind Lockon's explanation, or how likely it is that Haro's programming would mistake an immobile object for itself, before the sudden change in scenery overwhelms him.]

[Cancel that. This is no time for questions. He'd only stood in place for the span of half a second, but it's one he wastes no time in compensating for. The gun is out automatically, without so much as a thought.
