I don't pretend to be at all good at Judaism-related stuff, so I hope my email didn't offend. (To be fair, I also offered candy for the Easter-bunny-worshippers!) Just trying to be inclusive!

Beer is definitely not Kosher for Passover. Hard cider is though.

As far as your other question, I think most Conservative Jews believe in a Messianic age, as opposed to a Messiah.
