Most people in the US don't understand the concept of foraging. Here, anything that is wild is poisonous. This was especially obvious from doing the kids nature hikes in the summers for the campground; parents and kids were scared to even smell things

At lower elevations, everything smells like a hamburger.

Don't knock foraging for burgers 'til you've actually TRIED to corner one of the little buggers, yourself. They are a cagey lot.
