I was just thinking of you the other week, wondering how you were, and how I really needed to get on here to say hello/catch up. How are you? What all have you been up to? :)
It seems like a whole plethora, haha! I was totally consumed by Breaking Bad. I was so grateful I was caught up in time to watch the last season finale live to avoid spoilers. Cannot believe I made it through sans spoilers, especially since I had waited to romp through it until after it'd been on quite a while.
On the new-to-TV front, I took several new shows for a spin, but fell most for Almost Human (cyborg/human procedural with heavy doses of banter and chemistry), The Goldbergs ('80s nostalgia set in a location my family actually knows), Believe (interesting twist on the "hidden powers" genre with a potential to become really engaging ala S1 of Heroes) and Cosmos: A Space Odyssey (reboot of Sagan's science documentary series). I still need to watch Sagan's version, so I can't compare it to the original, but I am

oh god, well the last week has been eventful. my friend decided she wanted to buy s 1967 chevy impala so she found one on craigslist for $7000 and flew out to pick it up. she also flew me out last minute cuz she wanted us to road trip back to her house in minneapolis, mn. oh! you live in wisconsin right? it's right by minnesota! we'll have to meet up sometime! :D anyway, i was suppose to fly into kansas city on wednesday afternoon and she was suppose to drive up from el paso, tx and pick me up and then we'd drive back, but it turns out the impala is being a little bitch and keeps needing work so i've been waiting in a motel since then. so my friend is suppose to be here either late tonight or early tomorrow, but i'm not holding my breath lol but anyway, it's been an adventure

*pathetically replies about six months late; totally thought I already had* That sounds like an amazing adventure you two embarked on--did everything work out with the car? :) So spontaneous! I'd probably be wigging out if the link up didn't work out, haha, so I admire your calm perseverance in the face of glitches. Was there a particular reason she wanted a 1967 impala (is that the Supernatural car?)? Actually, I'm all the way out on the east coast near New York, but we should still hang out sometime regardless, haha

I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one feeling this way. After writing this, I shook my head a bit and thought, "Am I even old enough to feel this way about stuff yet?" *laughs*
I miss the interaction and "basecamp" feel of it the most. Online communities really do feel so splintered now that there are so many options--little segments and pockets of friends in each platform. Almost little cliques based on which platform you prefer. It feels a bit harder to keep in touch with everyone that way, too.

I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one feeling this way. After writing this, I shook my head a bit and thought, "Am I even old enough to feel this way about stuff yet?" *laughs*
