That photo is incredible. I'm glad he was okay afterward! It's a wonder how images like that (and the other iconic images that come to mind) are captured, you know? Right place, right time I guess.
Yeah, it's rather miraculous that he survived that kind of current, but I was so relieved the history of the photo includes that he survived the encounter--in large part thanks to that other worker.
You know, I think it has to be a case of right place, right time when it comes to things like this--perhaps Morabito was just taking some photos of the countryside / cityscape or had decided he wanted to do some industrial photos and elected to take some pictures of apprentices up on the utility pole--then while he's shooting, this happens. Sometimes, someone really is just in the right place and equipped with something to capture an extraordinary moment.
I'm so thrilled to hear you're enjoying them! ♥ Definitely make Mondays more bearable I hope--getting back into the school and work grind on that day deserves some relief ManLove style. ;)
