Really powerful drabble. I like how the scars represent touchstones in his life, parts of his journey...and the idea at the end that there's something worse, something incomparable still out there has this great unforgiving quality to it.

Ryan always had demons, but as much as they wore him down he still managed to keep going. His scars are a part of his life, but he doesn't let them control him like Miguel does. And seeing someone so lost and broken, especially losing Cyril is something I think would really hit home for Ryan.

Honestly, for the first few episodes I didn't either. But then we get further into the series and you realize just how fragile a person he truly is.

damn. I'm not super big on angst without a happy ending kind of person but this was written beautifully and I wanted to cry with Miguel. Can I please put in a small request of maybe expanding this idea into a longer fic? Pretty Please. :)
