Neat take on the challenge! It calls up in my mind the scene where Mrs. Rockwell does come to visit Beecher at OZ. Nicely done.

p.s. we don't usually cut tag for regular drabbles, just for the longer flashfiction pieces.

Wonderful writing. The last line in particular really gets to me. Life goes on, but some losses never fully heal. Great answer to the challenge.

I was going back through some old drabbles and this one caught my eye. This is amazing work. I love the way you get us inside Mrs. Rockwell's state of mind and that last line is so matter-of-fact it's chilling.
