For Orkney cottage residents or visitors

Laurel has made her way home from the Mansion, and is slicing up some carrots for stew. Her hands, however, are obstinately shaking, and eventually she slices her thumb rather deeply. She swears under her breath in a fashion much more Agravain than Laurel in nature, shaking a little harder, face pale.

All is clearly not well.

If Laurel looks outside her window, at one point during the afternoon, she might come across the sight of a familiar figure.

Niko has been restless, and instead of his usual katas on the open grounds, he went for a long hike, which eventually took him to the cottage. He's not cold persay, and he may not knock on the door (what terrible manners) but he certainly will say hello once he knows who lives there.

T: Ta dam!

She smiles a little. "No. That would be giving me too much influence on his behavior. But. Truly, there are fairer subjects to discuss."

Obligingly, "I suppose there are. Tell me, what do you do in your spare time?"

[hardlyagravated]

"Cook, as you can see. Read a little. Sometimes I like to just walk, if the weather is fair."

He smiles, a little. "Quiet occupations, mostly." He can't help but have profound respect for this woman.

"Well, it's mostly a quiet place, isn't it?"

[ninja_niko]

"That, it is, Lady Laurel. I'm not complaining of it."

[hardlyagravated]

She smiles a little. "No, nor me."

[ninja_niko]

"Yeah. Are you like me? I tend to think quiet is only a sign that something will happen again soon."

[hardlyagravated]

She looks down at her vegetables, her smile closed if not false. "Something is always happening. It just occasionally happens to someone else."

"Are you suggesting something happened to you, Laurel?"

His voice is quiet, careful.

T: Also, on later timeline, having met A., Niko is now semi-worried about Laurel.

[hardlyagravated]

"Are you suggesting nothing has ever happened to you, sir?" she returns, with a the same quiet smile.

T: Ha. Well, she's living back up at the Mansion now, so she's not hard to find.

[ninja_niko]

"I would be hard pressed to suggest suck a thing," he replies with a quiet smirk.

T: Is cool. I'll post him up, if you want?

[hardlyagravated]

"Well, there you are."

T: Sounds good to me!

[ninja_niko]

"Indeed, there I am." He gives her another intelligent grin.
