Sorry it's been forever since I've posted. Much craziness in the past few weeks:- My efforts to compete for my own job have been successful so far
- I performed some poetry at Westfest and it went over very well
- CelerySurprise has learned how to walk!!!
- I went to my cousin Vinnie (the lawyer)'s wedding in Edmonton

One of our summer student's tasks is to assemble an email of relevant news articles each morning. This morning she sent me this article from the National Post. The article itself is only mildly interesting* but the picture of Defence Minister Peter MacKay that accompanies it was arresting. There's something voyeuristic and fascinating about it.

E-Ink screens on clothing? Don't mind if I do! The article amusingly assumes that people could sell adspace on their t-shirts to Google or Facebook. Personally, I think they've got it backwards. I've been using my body as a mobile billboard for years and paying for the privilege. -

Our cat, Smokey Robinson, has been earning his keep lately. In the last week he has tracked down three mice in our house. They are adorable little creatures with tiny beady eyes. Brainslie and I have managed to rescue them and have released them at the far end of the backyard, where they no doubt made it back to the house before us. I'm encouraged ( Read more... ) -
