I'm proud to say baby Isabella Rose was born at 3:49 PM on Monday, June 12th. She was exactly 39 weeks, weighed 7 lbs. 9 oz., and had a full head of dark brown hair. The delivery was complicated by her big head and my small size, but after about nine hours of labor, a vacuum assist, and a *squirm* 3rd degree episiotomy, we had a vaginal delivery ( Read more... )

Well, we are now scheduled for induction on June 12th. That's exactly 39 weeks, so I'm pleased with the date, although I do still feel like I have a million more things to get done between now and then, but very few of them are absolutely necessary, so I guess we'll all get by ( Read more... )

I hit 27 weeks of pregnancy, this week. I'm getting a bit anxious, again, but I'm excited, too. I spend way too much time reading about baby stuff and researching baby-related products, but everything's going well, baby seems to be right on track, and I'm still feeling reasonably comfortable in my own skin. We're having a belated Halloween party this weekend, so I'm trying to decide what all needs to be DONE before the event. I'm notorious for freaking out the day of a party and causing myself, my husband, and anybody else who crosses my path great tribulation. I met with my first ever doctor of chiropractic medicine, today at the strong behest of a friend and co-worker, and while I did enjoy and respect the "doctor," I just can't get over how infinitely varied research results can read.
