Where Angela saw weakness, he saw strength. But trying to convince her otherwise was futile.
Part of him admired her for it - her resolve in the face of opposition - but he also knew it was her biggest flaw, as it was for everyone like her, like him, like them all.
They were young and idealistic once. But none as quixotic as Peter; he's his own special kind of hope and faith.
Sometimes he wonder if they all - or just one of them - had a little of Peter's belief, perhaps they wouldn't be in this mess.
