The perks of working at the U.S. Pavilion

So, today was the opening day of the Expo. They made us stay late after all the regular guests left, because there was a big VIP reception going on upstairs. So we were hanging around in our exhibit space, showing off for all the VIPs, and a guy comes up to me and starts talking. The Segway story isn't very exciting, except that we get to ride them around in front of the Pavilion to encourge people to come in. One kid dropped his ice cream cone when he saw my friend Katie go by. :-)

I wish I'd known about your LiveJournal earlier. I'm right now packing to fly to Nagoya tomorrow for the last 9 days of Expo 2005. It'll be my sixth world's fair.

I was there in November and got to see the construction for the site (I designed the blue/green/yellow/blue "EXPO 2005 AICHI" Linimo train) and am excited to finally see it filled with people.

I'll have to look for you when we go to the U.S. Pavilion.
