They Summer Reading Club starts on Saturday, and our online system still shows last year's artwork and programs. We paid the software providers a hefty chunk of change to set it up for us, and they insist that everything looks fine on their side, they have no idea what the problem could be, but just for us, they'll call in a repair ticket. My good thing: we just adopted two completely adorable 4-month-old puppies. (Not-so-good thing: they are currently howling in the kitchen because no one is giving them the attention they think they deserve... no, wait, blessed silence. They must have accepted their fate.)

And yes, I admit to a great fondness for Tamora Pierce. It doesn't hurt that her books quite literally saved hapaxdaughter's life (in both of our opinions).
