I took a day trip but it was a really big trip for me.  I went fishing with the locals on Tai Hu (太湖).  This started about a week ago when I stumbled across a fishing village.  At that time I did not think I would be able to find time before the fishing season ended at the end of September.  But I did.  I am not planning on being in Wuxi this time ( Read more... )

This weekend was another bike trip.  This time I went out to the west along around the mountains and then rode south along the shore of Tai Lake (太湖)

I bought a bike on Friday.  I didn't think of taking some pictures of my new bike when I took it out this weekend so when the weather clears up I will do it.  This weekend I rode downtown and around the smaller lake near my place.  There are 2 lakes where I live the big one is Tai Hu (太湖) and there is Li Hu (蠡湖).  Li Hu is a small part of Tai Hu ( Read more... )

I just noticed I am no longer being blocked from using Livejournal.  This past weekend I went to a place called Zhu de haiyang (竹的海洋) or Ocean of Bamboo.  Its an area about an hour outside of Yi Xing (宜兴).( Read more... )

I am going back to China again on Friday the 28th. It will be familiar as I have been there for what seems like forever. I have enjoyed my time at home. It was a nice respite from the heat of Suzhou. I certainly will never come to love the weather there ( Read more... )

This may or not be interesting. But I am going to be back in Shenyang again and I will stay there for another year or year and a half. So my plan is to stay in Shenyang for awhile until some things develop and then come back to the US again and hopefully go to grad school.
