I've really got to re-read this series soon. I read it over a period of 3 years (I started before The Amber Spyglass was released), and I've really forgotten a good bit of the story. I also didn't have the slightest clue what was going on in The Subtle Knife, but that could be because I was, like, 11 years old at the time.
