Well, it didn't hurt anyone, did it? That's why I don't understand why I got detention. For all what's worth it wasn't something huge like disrespecting any rules of the professor.
There have been plenty of professors who don't allow talking in their class. Just because you haven't gotten caught before doesn't make it unreasonable.
They usually ignore talking until they offically started with a very clear and loud greeting. Why do you think Professor Snape made always such an entry? Everyone shut up when the door banged shut.
Then I guess we'll have to make sure we're not sitting within earshot of each other or that I'm in the back because the sheer amount of 'crazy' he radiates makes me want to fall over laughing.

I just do the detention and then I make that I will never ever utter a sound in the classroom of this barely human being!!!
