at the behest of my dear, temporarily gimpy friend, fizz_bubbles, i have been reading paulo coelho's book, the pilgrimage, about the author's trek along the road to santiago. it is interesting, to say the least, and some of the concepts are more than a little foreign to me -- but one passage in the chapter entitled cruelty rang true for where i am in my life ( Read more... )

I read this a few days ago and I'm sitting here feeling lousy that I'm STILL not fighting the good fight. But then I realized, hey, I AM fighting the good fight. I'm a darn good mom! Yes, I am!

Except, there ARE things I should be doing that would make my fighting gooder. Yes, GOODER!

So thanks for posting that. Much food for thought.
