Since The Last Post

Last night was just MISERABLE. There is no other way to describe it. It was hot as hell, and it did not cool down, for even a second. It was just awful. I chose to sleep in the living room, because the bedroom was like a FRIGGIN OVEN! (Seriously! Just by going in to get my pillow, I was DRENCHED in sweat.)
Well, the living room, while definitely ( Read more... )

Have you considered that there may be another reason your sweetie is at the Moose so often? And if he is even AT the Moose as much as he says he is? I'm afraid I would be a tad suspicious. It may be time to check that out.

I appreciate the concern. But, I can safely say it is the Moose. My sweetie is a big bar type person. And the moose has cheap drinks. Plus, they are always calling (EVERY DAY) and asking for some type of help. I am usually the one who answers the phone.
Even still, I do feel completely abandoned. And, my sweetie just REFUSES to hear my concerns.

I agree with Vilakins. We need a new nickname for 'Sweetie.' Perhaps we should vote on one :)

I'm sorry you feel completely abandoned. That makes me quite sad. :(

Regardless of his motives for being away at the Moose so much, I think it's time to ask yourself a few questions (not in any particular order):

1) Are you happy with this relationship?

2) Do you foresee his invisibility act changing in the foreseeable future?

3) Are you able to live with this situation for the rest of your life?

4) Are you happy?

5) Can this situation be fixed?

Look at your answers and that will help you decide if you need to put forth more effort or if it's time to move on--or for him to move on.

Sourpuss? Grumpy? Rain-cloud?

I think Grumpy should get a proper paying job behind a bar (Grumpy has good experience to cite) and actually contribute something to the household.

Yay for going to Laughlin and how nice that someone is generous enough to help you give this gift to your mother.

Yes, I'd say you need the laptop for your school work. It's an online college and you need to be able to connect to it so it qualifies as an educational purchase.

I know. I was completely blown away, that someone was offering help, in such a wonderful way. It really was such a great thing.
You know, I think that having a laptop is much better than a desktop. It means that I am not trapped. I can do things, such as this vacation, and still have the ability to do my school work.

I agree with both posters - time to check out the Moose excuse and so great that you have a functioning laptop again.

The gift of the Laughlin trip is awesome. I join you in thanking the person who gave it. I was wishing I was in a position to do so and then here came your post.

Have a wonderful vacation.

Hugs, happy school and stitching,

Kae

It really was so wonderful, to see that somebody was helping me, in making sure that my mom has a great birthday. Sure, she would have had fun anyways, but with Laughlin, I know that she will have a GREAT time. And, I am very honored, over this.

I'm sure you will really enjoy your vacation with your mother. Where is Laughlin and what is the attraction there? Do you have relatives there?

You should create another nickname for your partner, that's all I can say.

Yay for the laptop! A computer to yourself is essential for study.

I think it will be completely great. Laughlin is in Nevada. We don't have family there. But, my mom and Aunt B used to go a lot, and my mom has recently been wanting to go REALLY bad.
