This really resonates with me and is exactly what I needed to read right now. I'll leave the specifics to the wind, as this isn't really the place for them, but thanks for writing this. I liked it for its own merits, the telling of two seemingly different stories that may actually be the same story (especially the line about "rewriting" the story), the idea that we obscure the truth to find excuses for ourselves, the idea that we pass on these ideals to our own progeny and complete the circle... very well done and artfully executed.

Thank you for the kind words, and for reading it generally. You say it resonated particularly with you, and I don't know if that is for good or bad reasons, but I hope that whatever the situation is, that things move towards a better and more positive future for you and those close to you.

Oooh I really liked this. There are so many stories that you read in the news even that are shown one way, and then a week later you find out all the same information actually reads the other way.

Thank you. I am glad you enjoyed it. I find that even the stories I hear from my trusted friends often are significantly different when I hear them from another. It feels like it is hard to know anything to be true. And yet, I still want to hear it all.

What a great, creative and thoughtful way to re-work the ugly duckling story. I loved the various shifts. Wonderful work, as always.
