okay so I seriously did a double take when I saw this fic because exo is like my embarrassing not!secret and Lu Han is my exo bias and I spent a lot of time meta-ing over him, so to see a youngjae/luhan fic that portrays Lu Han as the strange jokester that he is makes me <3___<3 Run away Yoo Youngjae!! His angel face is a trap! A trap I say!!!

Coincidentally I just came back form Beijing 2 months ago sigh sigh. Yoonjae-ah, Noona could've taken you on a tour too, but I guess Lu Han is okay. There were some inconsistencies with the Chinese usage but it's something only native speakers would care about, but I love love love the "do your balls hurt?" comment kekeke.

tldr; I loved this and am a little ashamed that my inner lu han stan kind of... emerged.... opps.

Oh okay yay! I wasn't sure whether I should just ignore it or be a critical!Chinese person, but basically, the gege/didi subfixes aren't as widely used in China as "hyung" is used is Korea. Only children under the age of ten will say "gege" or "jiejie" in its entirety. In most cases, people call their older brother "ge" and their older sister "jie." People call their younger siblings by name. And by siblings, I mean cousins because lol @ China's one child only policy ( ... )

youngjae in beijing!! i love how well you got across his struggling without making it gimmicky and distracting. and i like that his knowledge progresses. the way that he flounders a little but he just keeps trucking and holds on to lu han and wonders if he's pushing it or he can push it

i adore your lu han!! you've nailed his playfulness (stealing the electronic dictionary you little shithead) and all his clingy glory, and i loved all the little cameos (jongdae pls) (AND YIXING AND YOUNGJAE TEAMING UP TO MAKE LU HAN SUFFER). the crayons!! LISTENING IN ON YOUNGJAE'S CONVERSATION WHAT A DICK. my fav part was the end, lu han fooling youngjae the whole time, it's sweet in a faintly manipulative way. but so is lu han.

i have never used one but i'm canadian and the only language ik other than english is french (and i was trained in that since i was six). JONGDAE IS EVERYONE'S LOVE he's such a snarky little dweeb. he's so fun. and yes lu han is totally a dick sometimes (see: everything he does to minseok it's hard to believe he's one of the oldest)
